Question: What took three years, untold amounts of grit and graft, and produced a glittering result?

Answer: Philippa Langley’s quest for the lost grave of Richard III.

The ‘Looking for Richard’  project marked the first-ever search for the lost grave of an anointed King of England.  Many, including academics and archaeologists – not to mention the media – are still reeling from a success that can only be called stunning!

During an evening of talks, Philippa will tell us all about her search for a king who history had long believed lost and how she has now embarked on her next project, a search to uncover the truth behind one of the most enduring historical mysteries connected to King Richard III.  What actually happened to his nephews – ‘The Princes in the Tower.’

It is a murder mystery which has lasted for over 500 years – with no evidence to support that there was ever a murder at all.  The search is on.  No one ever expected to find the remains of a ‘King in a Car Park’ – what else is out there waiting to be found?

Philippa is President of the Scottish Branch of the Richard III Society and in 2015 was awarded Membership of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) by HM The Queen at Buckingham Palace.

Free on-site parking available.
