Put on your lederhosen and join Grimsby’s Silhouettes Musical Theatre for our much-anticipated production of Rogers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music!

The story, you will remember, features Maria, an enthusiastic but clumsy novice. Her exasperated Mother Abbess farms her out as a governess to Captain Von Trapp’s family of seven children. All this happens against the backdrop of the Anschluss, when Germany annexed Austria. The family are in real danger as the threat of the Third Reich looms.

Right from the beginning, with our sublime nuns’ chorus, through to Doh-a Deer and The Lonely Goatherd, the show is packed with some of the best loved of Rogers and Hammerstein’s numbers.
